MAKIS LAZOU

I am Makis Lazos from Achna in Cyprus, where I
was born on the 15th of February 1945. I am, besides other things, an
amateur writer. I have written and illustrated seven books, mostly poetry and biographies,
that have given me great pleasure in creating them. I would like to dedicate
the present book, “The Kiss,” to my dearest wife, Myrofora, who has been my
biggest inspiration for the whole story.

I would also like to thank all my family for all
the love that they have given us throughout our lifetime.

My sincere thanks go to my dear friend John
Steel for all his patience and perseverance in completing this book. I also
give my thanks to my good friend Kamil Zurawski for all his help as a standby.

Once married, I worked for whoever would have me. Somehow, someway, I am not sure why. I became a Fluid Power salesman. A successful one at that. Fluid Power is another term for Hydraulics and can be described simply as the joys of oil under pressure. After throwing my pot stash away for good, I worked my way up to management and then to leading my own distributorship. Luckily, lightning had struck me.

We now live in a lake cabin, waking up to a scene of tranquility every morning. My puppy, Kasper, sleeps with us. Kasper wakes me up at least three times a night, licking my ears. I think she is making sure I am still alive.

After arranging the sale of the Fluid Power distributorship, I retired for good, or so I thought. Then I got the bug again and formed another company, realizing I only wanted to write! That’s where I am now—just writing.
